Roma have reached an agreement with Serie A counterparts Atalanta for the transfer of Duvan Zapata.
According to a report by Francesco Balzani, Roma and Atalanta have agreed terms in principle for the transfer of striker Duvan Zapata to the Italian capital in the last few hours.
The Giallorossi’s initial proposal for a loan deal is said to have been rejected by La Dea and therefore the talks for a permanent solution came. Jose Mourinho was adamant in bringing the player to his team this summer and Roma are set to pay around €6 million plus €3.5 million in bonuses for the transfer.
A contract of three years, worth €2.7 million plus bonuses to reach €3 million along with the provision for compensation if released during the third year awaits the 32-year-old striker at Roma. The Colombian is expected at Trigoria tomorrow to undergo medical examinations and will subsequently sign the contract to become available for the Verona match on Sunday.
Zapata comes in as a replacement for Tammy Abraham, who suffered an ACL injury.
