Saudi Arabia make move for ex-Italy boss Roberto Mancini

Roberto Mancini has left the Italian national team manager role but he could now land the role of the Saudi Arabia national team boss.

Mancini’s exit from the Azzurri role was announced earlier today and there is strong interest in him from Saudi Arabia, who want him to become their next national team boss.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Mancini is tempted by the idea of managing the national team, who have been keeping an eye on the Italian for quite sometime now. They have put forward a very impressive offer of €18 million per season to him.

Mancini is interested in the move but the decisive acceptance or decision from his end is yet to arrive, but one thing is clear – the insistence from the Middle East is quite prominent.

When it comes to the Azzurri, a host of names have been linked with the role. That includes ex-Tottenham Antonio Conte, ex-Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti, Daniele de Rossi and Fabio Cannavaro.
