Roma picked up a shocking 4-1 loss to Genoa in the Serie A, stretching their poor run of form further under manager Jose Mourinho.
Goals from Albert Gudmundsson, Mateo Retegui, Junior Messias and Morten Thorsby condemned the Giallorossi to only one win in six Serie A games, with the only win of the season coming against Empoli about ten days ago. But Roma’s season is going haywire and some stats make for a very shocking read.
They currently have five points in six games and that is the worst start to a season in Mourinho’s entire career, with the previous worst start to the season coming in the 2015/16 season during his last season at Chelsea in the same campaign as when Leicester City won the Premier League title.
To add to their woes, Roma have won only twice in their last 15 games and that isn’t a very good look for Jose and his men, who would have to turn things around quickly.
