The numbers behind Inter’s poor recent form under Simone Inzaghi

Inter fell to a disappointing 1-0 loss to Monza at home at the San Siro, having failed to beat the newly promoted side in the reverse fixture as well.

Monza are now unbeaten against Inter this season and the Nerazzurri are now at fifth, having failed to climb into the top four and having failed to take advantage of Milan’s disapppointing 1-1 draw against Bologna earlier today.

The loss to Monza today means that Inter have not won even once in their last five games in Serie A and in all competitions, they have won only three times in their last ten games. One of them was the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Benfica.

Not just that, but Inter have scored only two goals in their last five league games and that points towards their attacking issues – something which was talked about earlier in the campaign as well.

Opta have reported that this is the first time in the club’s history that Inter have lost three home games in a row without scoring even once.

Simone Inzaghi’s position at the club is already said to be under scrutiny and these results will not help his case at all.
