Victor Osimhen will sign a two-year extension, confirms Napoli owner

Napoli owner Aurelio de Laurentiis has revealed that the club has agreed a two-year deal with striker Victor Osimhen.

Osimhenโ€™s current deal at Napoli runs out in the summer of 2025, with the Nigerian linked with a host of major clubs such as Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester United. His future at Napoli remains uncertain.

During Napoliโ€™s press conference to announce Rudi Garcia as manager, De Laurentiis was asked about Osimhen and he revealed that an agreement for a two-year extension has been reached and talks were held before the Scudetto party under Luciano Spalletti.

He said (via TMW): โ€œWe already spoke with Osimhen before the Scudetto party and we are in agreement on extending the contract for another two years. For the other players we will also have to see and study with Garcia. I am convinced that preparation in the training camps is fundamental.โ€

Osimhen is said to have a very high asking price for Napoli and that could deter potential suitors this summer, even though Napoli have already spoken to Udinese about signing Beto as a potential replacement.

De Laurentiis also confirmed that Napoli refused an approach from Manchester United to play a friendly in Manchester and also rejected Barcelona, who wanted to play against the Partenopei in the Joan Gamper trophy.
