Victor Osimhen’s brother-in-law reveals Napoli star owes him over $500,000

The brother-in-law of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that the player owes him over $500,000 since 2020.

Osimhen was recently involved in a controversy surrounding an objectionable video that featured him and was posted on TikTok by Napoli. The situation was later sorted out but it seems as if the Nigerian has more trouble surrounding him and this case involves his brother-in-law.

While the case initially erupted in Nigeria, the striker’s brother-in-law recently spoke to TMW about what is going on and he revealed that Osimhen owes hm $500,000 since the summer of 2020.

His brother-in-law, Osita Okolo, once used to work with the player’s entourage and he told TMW: “I married Osimhen’s sister in 2019 and I remember that it was the footballer himself who asked me to start working for him, to become his personal manager. The official transfer from Lille to Napoli arrived on 31 July 2020. It wasn’t me who closed this deal directly, but first his former agent William D’Avila worked on it with DW Sports Management.

“Mr. D’Avila paid me an amount in excess of $500,000 as a commission, money which I can testify to the proceeds with official documents. Osimhen asked me to borrow that money shortly after. We are a family, my wife is his sister, and I didn’t see why not to give it to him. Too bad he never gave it back to me again. That’s why the I reported: I only want my money back, the commission that was paid to me by D’Avila before Osimhen changed agents.”

Osimhen is currently represented by Roberto Calenda, who seems fairly vocal on social media and the move which involved saw him join Napoli remains under the scanner for Napoli’s potential involvement in financial irregularities.
