Walter Mazzarri is now nearing a move to Napoli, where he seems to be inching close towards starting a short second spell at the club.
Igor Tudor seemed destined to join the club until yesterday, with Rudi Garcia set to be sacked. But it now seems as if some last minute demands from the Croatian have made Mazzarri the favourite to land the role.
SportItalia now state that Mazzarri seems to be Aurelio de Laurentiis’ chosen man, with the club CEO having considered his options over night after having all but sealed the deal with Tudor yesterday.
Mazzarri even rejected a late offer from an Egyptian club. He was about to depart for the Egyptian side, but he has now rejected the approach very recently and the signs point to the fact that he will likely be the next Napoli manager, with the Italian expected to take charge for an initial period of six months.
