Antonio Conte and Stefano Pioli interested in Napoli job

Serie A giants Napoli have been boosted in their attempts to hire a new manager, with both Antonio Conte and Stefano Pioli having given their availability to manage the Partenopei.

Both Pioli and Conte have been linked with the job, which will be vacant once the season ends and Francesco Calzona departs. Gianluca di Marzio (via CN24) has reported that Conte isn’t part of Milan’s plans for a new manager at all, but he is very much a target for Napoli.

As of now, Napoli have four names on their shortlist. Apart from Conte and Pioli, two names are Vincenzo Italiano and Gian Piero Gasperini. The Atalanta boss seems set to stay at La Dea and in recent weeks, there have been no developments when it comes to Italiano’s candidacy.

Having said that, both Pioli and Conte have given their availability for the role at Napoli. Some contacts have already been taken place with the club. Club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis will have a meeting with Giovanni Manna soon to decide about the club’s next move.
