Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi on Teun Koopmeinersโ€™ future amidst Juventus interest: โ€œHe is still hereโ€

Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi restored belief in Teun Koopmeiners and made no statement on Juventusโ€™ recent interest in the player.

Speaking to the media (via Gianluca Di Marzio) today during Nicolo Zanioloโ€™s presentation, Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi remarked that Teun Koopmeiners belong to the club and revealed no ongoing negotiations with any other side. He said: โ€œHeโ€™s still here, like any other day. Nothing has changed.โ€

The Bianconeri have registered a firm interest in the player recently and it has been reported that La Dea rejected the first offer received for the Belgian. It is certain that the Bergamo-based side are open to selling the player but clubs must match the asking price of a staggering โ‚ฌ60 million.

Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli wants to increase the squad dept of the midfield to give new manager Thiago Motta the option of selecting his side from a host of talents.ย

Koopmeiners played a stellar role in Atalantaโ€™s Europa League-winning season as he played a total of 51 games, scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists across all competitions.ย
