Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion have made an offer Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic.
The English side have been linked with a move for Samardzic since yesterday and La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about an update regarding the situation.
They state that Brighton’s interest is likely to delay Napoli’s move for Samardzic. Brighton’s talks with Udinese are currently said to be ongoing and the Seagulls have readied an offer for the attacking midfielder, who seemed set to join Napoli some days ago.
These talks have begun after Napoli’s held face-to-face negotiations with Udinese in Spain, with the Seagulls ready to offer €20 million plus bonuses of €5 million to Udinese. That offer is very favourable to the Bianconeri, but it is the offer to the player that will be vital as Lazar’s father has a major say regarding his future.
Brighton would still need to make movements in that regard, to have a better chance of landing the midfielder as Napoli still remain in the lead. The player still prefers Napoli over Brighton but things might change.
