Charting Federico Chiesa’s injury troubles for Juventus

Federico Chiesa will miss Juve’s home match with Empoli in the Serie A on Saturday as his injury problems continue to frustrate both himself and his club.

Gazzetta dello Sport confirms that in the five consecutive victories that has took the Old Lady back to the top of Serie A, the 26-year-old Italian international has managed just 57 minutes of game time. In the Bianconeri’s last seven matches in all competitions, Chiesa has made just three appearances, with only one of them as a starter.

2024 has not started well for a player who is considered to be one of Italy’s major stars, and a look back over the past four months does not make pleasant reading either. In that time he has managed just one goal from open play, an 89th minute strike against Sassuolo.

In 17 appearances so far in Serie A this term, the left-winger has managed 1,161 minutes on the pitch. His six goals so far in the campaign tells us that he is finding the net every 194 minutes.
