Serie A side Fiorentina are making progress in a move for former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
La Viola have been looking at the Spaniard for the last few days and they have been keen on signing a new goalkeeper.
Gianluca di Marzio has confirmed that talks between Fiorentina and De Gea are now on, with both parties interested in finding an agreement. As of now, the goalkeeper is expected to sign a one-year and there is likely to be an option for another season at the end of the initial season.
De Gea has been without a club for 14 months after his release from United. Raffaele Palladino wants to bring him to La Viola, with Martin Terracciano expected to depart and he will leave the club when De Gea joins. Monza are interested in him and could make a move for him soon and that will be made when the Spaniard arrives.
