Hakan Calhanoglu shows his class in Inter’s 1-0 win over Juventus

Inter picked up a solid 1-0 win over Juventus in what was a huge Serie A clash and it was Hakan Calhanoglu who put in a vital performance for the Nerazzurri.

While Inter rode on a Federico Gatti own goal to seal all three points, they seemed the more attacking unit on the pitch and Calhanoglu was vital to that. The Turkish midfielder dictated the tempo from deep, creating the side’s best opportunity in the first half, which was denied by Bremer’s last ditch challenge.

As per FotMob, Calhanoglu attempted 104 passes and completed a staggering 100 passes, while having a passing accuracy of 94 percent. He created one chance, while playing 17 passes into the final third as well.

He played eight long balls with an accuracy of over 70 percent, displaying his trademark ability to do just that. He wasn’t dispossessed even once, making as many as seven ball recoveries and making two interceptions in what was a glittering show in midfield by the 29-year-old.
