Juventus’ Matias Soule on Premier League move: “A dream to play there”

Juventus’ Matias Soule wants to play in the Premier League in the future, amidst his ongoing loan stint at Serie side Frosinone.

Speaking in an interview with DSports via SOS Fanta, Matias Soule indicated a future away from his parent club Juventus soon as he wants to have a Premier League experience.

The 20-year-old has developed immensely on loan at Frosinone, scoring ten goals and registering two assists. He has already attracted interest from Saudi Arabia in the past, especially from Al-Ittihad but rejected the move as he remains focused on making a career in Europe. Concerning this, the player commented: “The interest of Al Ittihad in January? After the match against Cagliari, my agent told me everything very quickly, and the Juventus sporting director did the same, but from the first moment I understood that there was no chance of me going there.”

Next, Soule admitted that it is his dream to play in the Premier League someday even if he stays in Juventus for the forthcoming season. He said: “My favourite league? The Premier League. If they gave me the chance to choose a league I would go to England. Everyone knows it’s one of the best leagues, it would be a dream to play there. Even if I would like to stay at Juve.”

The midfielder concluded the interview by talking about whether he will participate in the Olympics. There is uncertainty over his availability for the tournament as he has yet to discuss it with the Bianconeri. He said: “The Olympics? They are a dream, I haven’t talked about it with Juve yet, I don’t know if I will stay or not. When the time comes I will talk about it with them, so they will let me participate”
