Lazio open talks with Sunderland for Jack Clarke

Lazio are interested in the possibility of signing Sunderland star Jack Clarke this month.

The Englishman previously plied his trade with Premier League giants Tottenham but could never break into the first-team and was sold in 2022 to Sunderland, who are currently in the Championship.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported that Lazio want to add another winger to the side this month and while they recently failed in a move for Tottenham’s Bryan Gil, they have their sights set on Black Cats’ star Clarke, who has impressed with a tally of 13 goals this season.

It is stated that talks with Sunderland have already begun and more developments could arrive soon. In the meantime, Il Messaggero (via TMW) have stated that Lazio aren’t the only side interested in Clarke, who has attracted attention from Wolves, Crystal Palace and Brentford. Sunderland currently want a fee of €25 million to sell the 23-year-old.
