Several players at Serie A side Lazio are unhappy with the fact that winger Mattia Zaccagni has been picked as the clubโs captain.
Il Messaggero (via TMW) have reported about yet another problem at the Roman club, stating that while Zaccagni is very much Claudio Lotitoโs choice for captaincy and the club CEO has justified his choice as well, the decision hasnโt gone down well with many players.
Danilo Cataldi is one player who isnโt pleased and other big names in the squad are also said to be annoyed by the decision. There has been talk of the clubโs dressing room being in turmoil and even Lotito spoke about it in his recent interview, mentioning that he wants to stay out of the dressing room dynamics.
Lotito has become a figure of controversy in recent weeks, as Marco Baroni was appointed as manager after the contentious exit of Igor Tudor when Lazio failed to sign Daichi Kamada.
