Premier League champions Manchester City have made initial contact for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gigio Donnarumma.
La Gazzetta dello Sport today have reported about the situation of the Azzurri star, who starred for Italy at EURO 2024. Manchester City, who are likely to look for a new first-choice goalkeeper this summer, have made initial contact for ex-Milan stopper and he wouldnโt be against a Premier League move and the fact that PSG have signed Matvey Safonov is making Donnarumma consider his options.
The Italianโs contract talks with PSG did take place and there were promising sides from both sides. But in the meantime, PSG signed Safanov and Donnarumma is now less convinced about staying in Paris. It isnโt to say that he is considering an exit.
He does want to give his priority to PSG and staying there, but he would also be interested in a City move, if the English champions intensify their movements.
