Premier League giants Manchester United are eager to increase their quality in the central area of pitch ahead of next season as they are prepared to join Juventus in the race in acquiring Atalanta star midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.
Italian journalist Nicolo Schira reports that the Red Devils are monitoring the situation of the 25-year-old dutch international as they are keen to enter a pursuit for the lucrative central play-maker.
So far this season, Koopmeiners have proven to be pivotal in the middle of the park, amassing five goals and three assists in 19 matches in the 2023/24 Serie A term. Consequently, his impeccable run of form is attracting a great deal of suitors who are interested in acquiring his services ahead of next year’s campaign.
With the Dutch international’s contract with La Dea set to expire in the summer of 2027, coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are in no rush to offload their star player, and therefore show no intentions in budging from their price-tag of between €50m and €60m for Teun Koopmeiners in the summer window.
