Napoli and Matteo Politano have reached an agreement on contract extension talks.
According to a report by TMW, Napoli CEO Aurelio De Laurentiis has decided to offer Matteo Politano a contract extension due to his convincing performances for the last couple of seasons. There is a verbal agreement between the two parties and the right-winger will put pen to paper in the next few days.
The new contract will stretch the 30-year-old’s stay at the club until the summer of 2027 and the salary is set at €3 million net per season.
Politano’s agent travelled to Saudi Arabia today to meet the team preparing for the Supercoppa Italiana clash against Fiorentina. He was able to seal the extension details there and upon returning from the Middle East, the player will officially sign the new proposal, having impressed this season.
In other news, the Partenopei have started working on landing the Viola’s Antonin Barak in this transfer window. Crucial talks are expected to take place with both the teams facing each other tomorrow.
