Serie A giants Milan have a new manager in Sergio Conceicao in charge and this comes after Paulo Fonseca was sacked yesterday.
Milanโs ownership and management has been criticised for the manner in which Fonseca was sacked and Sky Italia have added some detail into the cold manner in which the decision was made.
Sky, as relayed by CM, report that owner Gerry Cardinale wished Fonseca well for the future, thanked him for his job over only a text message. It is suggested that the relationship between the two never took off and it was reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport that Milan had actually agreed a deal with Conceicao last week.
Sky go on to state that Fonseca will receive a pay of only eight months as a clause in his deal. The Portuguese will essentially earn about โฌ1.7 million instead of the entire seasonโs pay, which was set at โฌ2.5 million per season. All of this paints a picture of the fact that Milan were already planning for Fonsecaโs exit.
