Serie A giants Milan are nearing the possibility of tying down goalkeeper Mike Maignan to a new contract at the club.
Maignan has become a vital player for Milan over the seasons and has become one of the leading characters in the clubโs dressing room. The club are keen to hand him a new deal and key progress is ebing made.
Daniele Longo has reported that the club are now expecting to define the details of the new deal very quickly. There is a verbal agreement over a new deal and final details are being sorted out.
He will sign a new deal that will expire in the summer of 2028 and he will earn โฌ5 million per season and bonuses of โฌ1 million.ย
Something similar was echoed by Corriere dello Sport, who have suggested that Chelsea did make a couple of inquiries for the Frenchman, who was very keen on staying and the renewal is indeed very close.
