Napoli considering move for Nicolò Zaniolo

Serie A giants Napoli could launch an assault to bring Italian international Nicolò Zaniolo back to his home country this summer.

That’s according to transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio.

Versatile attacker Zaniolo, for his part, is currently in the midst of a loan stint in England, with Aston Villa.

With the Claret and Blue already understood to have come to the decision not to make his arrival permanent in the summer, however, the 24-year-old will head back to Turkey, with parent club Galatasaray.

But his stay in Istanbul is unlikely to last long, with Zaniolo himself having already made clear his desire to make the move back to Serie A.

And one club ready to help the former AS Roma talent with as much comes in the form of the aforementioned Napoli.

As per Di Marzio, incoming Partenopei director Giovanni Manna is a long-term admirer of Zaniolo’s talents.

Having previously sought out his signature at Juventus, Manna is, in turn, ready to do likewise upon taking the reins at Napoli in the summer.

Zaniolo, for his part, is also understood to be keen on the move, making a joining of forces between the parties with a view to next season a strong possibility.
