Napoli make contact for Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson

Reigning Serie A champions Napoli have made contact for Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson.

The Partenopei have been linked with a host of defenders this January but missed out on a deal for Radu Dragusin, who joined Tottenham. Marco Conterio has reported that Napoli are interested in Gala defender Nelsson and have initiated contact for the 25-year-old Dane. The club have spoken to the player’s entourage and the same has been reported in Turkey already.

Napoli are exploring the market for a new defender, with talks for Nehuen Perez not progressing yet. Since they are finding difficulties in the move for the Argentine, which is why they are looking at other profiles.

Nelsson’s entourage has been in talks with other Italian clubs in the past and the likes of Milan and Inter have evaluated his profile in recent months.

The 25-year-old has made 15 appearances in the league this season, scoring one goal. He has also played four times in the Champions League.
