Napoli reach financial agreement with Antonio Conte

Former Serie A champions Napoli have now reached a financial agreement to make Antonio Conte their next manager.

The Italian has been heavily linked with moves to Napoli and Milan, with the Partenopei also linked with names like Stefano Pioli and Vincenzo Italiano. But it seems like progress has been made on the Conte front.

RAI have reported (via CN24) about Napoli’s interest in Conte, with Ciro Venerato stating that the deadlock between the two parties has now broken. It was previously stated that Conte was stalling the offer from Napoli but it now seems as if an economic agreement between the two parties has been reached.

There is an agreement over a three-year contract of €6.5 million per season and Conte has agreed to sign targetted players, with Napoli also in agreement with that approach. The idea is that club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis will not intervene in football-related affairs directly.

In the meantime, Napoli have put Vincenzo Italiano on standby and other options are Stefano Pioli and Gian Piero Gasperini.
