Napoli want-away Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray at final stages

Just as it seemed as if a last-minute exit from the Partenopei was highly unlikely, Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Turkish side Galatasaray has now entered the final stages.

Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports that after Aurelio De Laurentiis gave the green light, Osimhen and his representatives quickly agreed to the move to the Turkish giants.

The two clubs have agreed on a season dry loan where Galatasaray will cover the entirety of the Nigerian international’s hefty salary  for a single season whilst away from Italy.

With all agreements in principle reached between the two clubs and Osimhen, all that is missing is the medicals and the deal will be completed.

Following the collapse in negotiations between Al Ahli and Chelsea for the 25-year-old forward, the Turkish side seized the opportunity as Argentine Mauro Icardi is currently injured and the club is keen on having the two goal-scorers play alongside each other in a 3-5-2 set-up once the former Inter skipper recovers.
