Serie A giants Juventus picked up an unlikely 3-2 win over German side RB Leipzig in Germany as they came back from 2-1 down to win the game despite being down to ten men.
Bremer and Nico Gonzalez had picked up injuries early in the game, leaving Juve handicapped with substitutions. Benjamin Seskoโs brilliant strike handed Leipzig a lead in the first half before Dusan Vlahovic equalised early in the second half. Michele di Gregorio was sent off for handling the ball outside the box and this was followed by a Leipzig penalty, which was converted by Sesko.
With Mattia Perin in goal, Juve equalised through a sensational Vlahovic long-range hit and Chico Conceicaoโs brilliant individual effort saw them make it 3-2. They held on in what was a incredible show of resilience.
Fagioli was probably Juveโs best player in the game and he was asked about it by Prime Video (via TMW). On whether he put in the best performance of his career, the midfielder said:
โProbably, but this is just the beginning. I had a difficult time, only because of me. Iโm giving everything for this shirt and Iโll always try to do my best.โ
On the game, he said: โGreat first half, shame about conceding a goal on the counterattack. In the second half we made it 1-1 right away, then we were always on point and we played a wonderful match with a lot of heart.โ
Juve have now won both their games in the Champions League and find themselves unbeaten in all competiitons.
