OFFICIAL | Manuel Locatelli excluded from Italy’s Euro 2024 squad

Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli has been excluded from Italy’s Euro 2024 squad, despite previous suggestions that he would make it to the side.

Luciano Spalletti has now announced the initial 30-man squad that train with the squad ahead of the Euros and that will be later cut down to the squad that will play at the Euros in the summer next month.

The biggest absence from the squad is Locatelli, who had a decent season for Juve under Max Allegri but he has missed out completely. Verona’s Michael Folorunsho has made it to the squad and Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci is also part of the training side.

Other midfielders who have made it  the squad are Nicolo Barella, Arsenal’s Jorginho, Roma pair Lorenzo Pellegrini and Bryan Cristante, with Nicolo Fagioli also making it despite recently returning to action after a period of suspension due to his involvement in the betting saga.
