Roma concretely interested in Juventus’ Federico Chiesa

Serie A giants Roma are said to be concretely interested in the possibility of signing Juventus star Federico Chiesa.

Chiesa’s future at Juve is said to be uncertain and while he hasn’t impressed, his current deal runs out in the summer of 2025 and if no progress is made over a new deal, he will be sold.

Daniele Longo has reported that Roma’s interest in Chiesa is ‘real’ and ‘concrete’ and manager Daniele de Rossi is the driving force behind this interest, as he worked with the ex-Fiorentina man during his time with the Italian national team. De Rossi believes that Roma is the right place for Chiesa to reinvigorate his career, just like how things panned out for Paulo Dybala.

Chiesa is considering the possibility of leaving Juve in the summer. The terms of a sale will come to the fore soon, as Juve sporting director Cristiano Guintoli will try to offer a one-year deal, but Roma will still try to sign the player and they see him as a ‘five star’ purchase, with Romelu Lukaku likely to depart.

It is difficult to see the Roma owners to sign both Lukaku and Chiesa, so the Italian could join if Lukaku doesn’t end up at the Giallorossi on a permanent basis.
