Serie A side Roma have made another big coup in the summer transfer window on deadline day, as they are now set to sign Borussia Monchengladbachโs Manu Kone.
La Gazzetta dello Sport state that the Frenchman will replace Edoardo Bove, who will join Eintracht Frankfurt. Talks for Kone are now in the final stages and the deal will go ahead.
The midfielderโs agent has been in Rome since yesterday evening and has reached an agreement with the Giallorossi on the basis of a five-year contract worth โฌ3 million per season. The last bureaucratic details are being ironed out with Borussia Monchengladbach and in the next few hours hours (barring other surprises) the white smoke will arrive that will bring the Frenchman to Trigoria.
The deal should cost around โฌ20 million: โฌ17 million for the fixed amount and โฌ2 million- โฌ3 million in bonuses. Roma have accelerated to avoid the risk of losing the player to Milan, who could loan Ismael Bennacer out to Atletico Madrid.
