Inter are set to agree personal terms with Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski to land him in the summer for free.
According to a report by Davide Stoppini of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have sent a proposal to Piotr Zielinski as they are looking to sign him for free. The Polish international has six months left on his contract and Napoli are not willing to extend that, therefore, he is free to talk with other clubs and move away without a transfer fee.
The Nerazzurri want a starter amongst their ranks and the 29-year-old perfectly suits the profile as Simone Inzaghi plans to provide competition to Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu for a starting spot. Inter’s proposal is for a three-year contract, worth €4.5 million net plus bonuses with the option of extending it to a fourth season.
This is the only offer on the table for Zielinski as of now as no European club have expressed a definite interest in securing his services. Saudi Arabian clubs circled him for a bit but the midfielder showed no desire to play in the Middle East.
Considering Steven Zhang’s club’s financial situation, this will be an economical signing for them without digging up into resources much.
