UEFA Coefficients Ranking Update | Italy remain in the lead

After latest round of Champions League action, Italy remain in the lead in the UEFA Coefficients Rankings and are on track to earn an extra Champions League spot.

None of the Italian teams lost a single game in Europe since last week. Inter grabbed a 1-0 win over Lazio, Napoli held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw and Lazio beat Bayern Munich last week. Milan beat Rennes in the playoff of the Europa League and Roma were held to a 1-1 draw by Feyenoord.

Sky Italia have reported an update about the rankings, with Italy still firmly in the lead. They have 15142 points and have seven teams still in Europe, with Fiorentina yet to play in the Conference League knockout stages and Atalanta yet to do that in the Europa League knockout stages.

Apart from Italy, only France have all their teams in Europe and none of their teams have been knocked out. At second, there is Germany with a total of 14,071 points and the gap between them and Italy is rather significant. England have six clubs left and they are at 13875, which suggests that the gap with Germany is rather small and the Premier League could yet cut down on it and rise to second.
