Why Lazio’s move for Fenerbahce’s Ryan Kent fell through

Serie A side Lazio have failed in their move to sign Fenerrbahce winger Ryan Kent.

The Roman side had attempted a last minute move for Kent and it did seem as if they had sealed an initial loan move with an option to buy. But it has fallen through.

Sky Italia confirm that Kent will not join Lazio as he ended up chosing to stay at Fener, despite the fact that an initial verbal agreement was in place. The option to buy for Lazio was set at 5 million, but the player made up his mind to not leave the Turkish side.

La Lazio Siamo Noi add more details to the scenario, revealing that Fener still owe Kent a certain amount of money. The expense wasn’t something that Lazio wanted to cover and they made it very clear. Kent is furious at Fener and that is why the move has fallen through.

Kent could now join Hull City, who want him as the English deadline day closes at midnight.
