Assane Diao has made a great impact at Como. Signed in January from Real Betis, the 19 year old had 9 goal contributions in 15 games for Cesc Fabregasโs side in the league in 2024/25. This signing was a great fit for Comoโs project which is young and focused on the long term, without extravagant spending.
As per reports from TMW, Como might once again approach Betis to sign another of their forwards. Jesus Rodriguez has piqued their interest but Aston Villa are ahead in the race. Comoโs main target seems to be Abde Ezzalzouli. The fiery winger was at his best in the UEFA Conference League final where he scored as well. When he was taken off, Betis lost control of the game.
Abde is already a Moroccan international and was at Barcelona for a few years. While he is not the finished article, he is a terrific dribbler and it feels like thereโs still a level he can go up.
