Serie A giants Inter have been dealt a decisive blow in their hopes of keeping Simone Inzaghi, who has agreed to join Al Hilal.
The Italian communicated his decision to leave in a meeting with Inter today and this has been confirmed by a host of sources in Italy.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Cesc Fabregas is the favourite to take over. 2nd on the shortlist is Roberto de Zerbi.
This comes after it was reported earlier that contact has already been made with the Spaniard, who is keen to take over.
Quite the same has been mirrored by Gianluca di Marzio and De Zerbi is said to have a cheap release clause which will be active till the 10th of June.
Fabregas’ appeal for Inter is down to his tactical versatility and because he had started last season with a back three.
