Ivan Juricโs position as Atalanta head coach is under intense scrutiny following the clubโs disappointing loss to Sassuolo in Serie A.
The defeat to Sassuolo, which came after a worrying spell of inconsistent domestic form for La Dea, has forced the Atalanta hierarchy to seriously re-evaluate Juricโs future.
Orazio Accomando indicates that the clubโs management is not satisfied with the teamโs start to the season, and the loss has served as a critical turning point. While the club had initially given Juric a two-match deadline to improve resultsโa window that included the Champions League tie against Marseille and the recent Serie A fixture against Sassuoloโthe outcome of the latter has significantly increased the pressure on the Croatian manager.
Atalanta had invested heavily in the squad over the summer but find themselves languishing lower than expected in the league table. Should results not improve immediately, the club is reportedly prepared to part ways with Juric, with former Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino and Thiago Motta among the names being considered as potential replacements.
