Details behind firearm incident involving Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie: Tobi Alabi named as attacker

The shocking details surrounding the alleged threat against Tottenham Hotspur star Destiny Udogie have emerged, with former player and now agent Tobi Alabi named as the individual questioned by authorities.

According to a reconstruction by TuttoMercatoWeb, Alabi, who is understood to collaborate with a major worldwide agency, was interrogated by police on serious charges including extortion, driving without a license, and illegal possession of a firearm, having allegedly threatened the player with a gun. Alabi has since been released on bail as investigations continue.

The Representation Conflict

The alleged incident is believed to be rooted in a furious reaction to Udogie’s representation choices. For a year, Alabi had an indirect relationship with Udogie through a mutual friend, Jehoshua Osewmonta, who had begun collaborating with the agent. Alabi allegedly expected this connection would soon lead to the former Udinese player joining him as a client.

However, Udogie had recently decided to change his professional representation. After initially being managed by Football Service (led by Stefano Antonelli and Ferdinando Guarino), Udogie chose to sign instead with the agency Elite Project Group.

This decision—bypassing Alabi’s attempt to bring him on board—is reported to be the catalyst for the agent’s “uncontrolled reaction,” which led to the shocking confrontation and subsequent police investigation.

While the legal process proceeds to determine full responsibility, Tottenham Hotspur is reported to have rallied around the talented left-back, offering him “great closeness” and support during the difficult period.
