Serie A side Fiorentina are now set to sign Parma midfielder Simon Sohm, who was being pursued for weeks.
FirenzeViola report that the deal has been finalised and Sohm was the main target for Fiorentina since June. The transfer will be done for a fee of โฌ15 million this summer and the exchange of documents is expected to be done by the weekend.
After that, final agreements will take place and medical will be done. Friday evening has proved key in talks as an agreement was reached betweenย Fiorentina and Parma.
It remains to be seen if Fiorentina sign another midfielder, with Nicolo Fagioli still at La Viola and Stefano Pioli considering the idea of using Sohm in an advanced role from next season onwards.
The Firenze club can still come forward for another forward, especially with Lucas Beltran on his way out amidst an offer from Flamengo which is being considered.
