Inter planning to move for PSGโ€™s Gigio Donnarumma

Serie A side Inter are plotting a move for Paris Saint-Germainโ€™s Gianluigi Donnarumma.

According to a report by Filippo Conticello of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are observing the situation regarding PSGโ€™s Gigio Donnarummaโ€™s contract renewal and will attempt a transfer this summer. The Italian goalkeeperโ€™s contract with Les Parisiens ends in 2026 and there have been no talks of renewing it between the club and the player.ย

โ€œA certain San Siro fan base would like me hereโ€ฆ? Iโ€™m very pleased, Iโ€™m happy. These are situations that will be seen later. In the meantime, Iโ€™m happy to be back,โ€ โ€“ these were Donnarummaโ€™s words after Italyโ€™s 2-1 defeat to Germany in the first leg of the Nations League quarter-finals. This interview made it clear that the 26-year-old is aware of Interโ€™s interest and that he might return to Serie A.ย

The Nerazzurri will soon be searching for a new goalkeeper and Donnarumma is one of the best options on the market. However, his salary of around โ‚ฌ12 million including fixed and variables poses a problem for Inter as they are not in a financial position to cover those.ย
