Serie A giants Inter are now working to quickly close their move for Roma midfielder Manu Kone.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Inter have set their sights firmly on the Frenchman and have decided to dedicate the budget they had used for Ademola Lookman on the midfielder.
They are willing to offer โฌ40 million plus bonuses for Kone and the move is linked to the stalemate met in their move for Lookman, with Atalanta standing firm in their valuation despite the forwardโs best attempts to push through for a transfer.
Roma havenโt accepted the fee on offer but they could consider the move to finance other investments in the squad. As things stand, Kone could become Interโs priority target if the move for Lookman abandons completely and the next few hours will be the key to understanding how the situation could evolve.
Gazzetta dello Sport have indicated that Roma themselves have offered the midfielder to Inter.
