Serie A side Juventus will soon sack Thiago Motta and bring in Igor Tudor on an interim basis but details are now emerging about the scenario.
La Gazzetta dello Sportโs Giovanni Albanese has reported that a face-to-face meeting took place between Guintoli and Motta after the loss to Fiorentina and it became quite heated.
The Italian director used harsh words against Motta and told him: โIโm ashamed of having chosen you.โ
What worried Guintoli was the teamโs lack of reaction to the difficulties imposed by Fiorentina at the Franchi, despite the fact that before the match he himself had asked the players in the locker room to redeem the previous defeat to Atalanta with a spirited performance. Instead, after the 4-0 loss, another 3-0 defeat arrived and that was difficult to digest.
Motta appeared cold and apparently serene in the complicated moment, in which evidently a more โangryโ reaction would have been appreciated by the club.
A decision was made after this and it seemed as if Motta had done all he could and failed.
