Juventus make initial contact for Luciano Spalletti, Mancini Plan B

Juventus has officially begun their search for a new head coach, initiating โ€œfirst contactโ€ with former Italian national team manager Luciano Spalletti just hours after officially sacking Igor Tudor, according to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio.

Tudorโ€™s fate was sealed by the 1-0 defeat to Lazio, marking the end of his short 24-game tenure that began in late March. With the Croatian manager now dismissed, the Bianconeri are wasting no time.

Spalletti, who stepped down from the Italy job after the Euros, is currently in discussions with the club to define the scope of the project and his economic demands.

Should talks with Spalletti stall, Juventus has already identified former Saudi Arabia and Italy coach Roberto Mancini as Plan B. Mancini was previously sounded out by the club following the earlier dismissal of Thiago Motta, but no agreement was reached at that time, partly due to his request for an 18-month contract.

Meanwhile, the option of Raffaele Palladino remains in the background, offering a third, more cost-effective alternative for the club.
