Milan and Juventus discussing swap involving Fede Gatti and Koni de Winter

blockbuster exchange could be brewing between two of Italy’s traditional giants as the winter window approaches.

According to a report by TMW’s Niccolò Ceccarini, AC Milan and Juventus are currently exploring a potential swap deal involving center-backs Federico Gatti and Koni De Winter.

Discussions between the two clubs are ongoing as they look to find a solution that satisfies both tactical needs and financial balance. For Juventus, the deal would represent a homecoming for De Winter; the Belgian defender was previously a product of the Juventus youth system before moving to Genoa and subsequently Milan. The Bianconeri are reportedly keen on bringing his versatility back to Turin to bolster their defensive options.

On the other side of the negotiation, Milan would receive Federico Gatti. The Italian international has become a cult hero at the Allianz Stadium for his grit and leadership, but a move to the San Siro would offer him a fresh start and a guaranteed central role in the Rossoneri’s defensive project.

While the deal is still in the discussion phase, the prospect of a direct swap between two direct rivals has sent shockwaves through the peninsula. Both managements are weighing the valuations of the players to see if a straight exchange is possible or if a cash adjustment will be required to bridge the gap.
