Milan and Roma struggling in move for West Ham’s Niclas Fullkrug

West Ham forward Niclas Füllkrug’s potential move to Italy is currently complicated, as both Milan and Roma have given “lukewarm responses” to the offer of signing the player in January, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The German forward is expected to leave West Ham after a disappointing year and a half in the Premier League. His representatives offered him to both Serie A clubs, but each has a distinct reason for their reluctance.

Roma is struggling to complete a deal because they are looking for a different profile of player to suit the needs of coach Gian Piero Gasperini, while Milan is hesitant to pursue the transfer due to an age issue, imposing a veto based on the player’s age.

As a result of these separate reasons for hesitation, the report concludes that Füllkrug’s arrival in Italy appears complex, making a return to the Bundesliga a more likely outcome for the player.
