Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri revealed team news regarding the availability of Christopher Nkunku and Rafael Leao in the pre-match press conference before their Coppa Italia clash against Lecce tomorrow.ย
Speaking to SportMediaset via Gianluca Di Marzio, Allegri shared news on Leao and new signing Nkunku ahead of Milanโs match versus Lecce. The Italian manager ruled Leao out for the Coppa Italia second round fixture as he is recovering from an injury, but claimed that he will be assessed and might make it for the Rossoneriโs game against Napoli. Allegri said: โRafa will definitely not be available tomorrow. Weโll evaluate him in the next few days to see if heโll be available for the match against Napoli.โ
Allegri hinted towards a possible starting line-up presence for new arrival from Chelsea tomorrow. The Frenchman has not received much game time till now, but he could have a chance to prove himself against Lecce. The Milan boss remarked: โHe [Nkunku] could even start, heโs feeling better and tomorrow could be an opportunity to see who has played less so far, but it must also be an opportunity to win.โ
Milan have already beaten Lecce once this season in the Serie A as goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic sealed the three points for the visitors.ย
