Rumours are swirling around Romaโs Paulo Dybala and a potential return to his homeland with Boca Juniors.
Boca have reportedly always been close to the out-of-form 32-year-oldโs heart, and links have grown stronger considering his friend Leandro Paredes currently plays there.
Dybala has scored just one goal and registered one assist in his first 10 Serie A games this season, and continued to look off the pace in recent outings against Napoli and Cagliari.
His expiring contract hasnโt yet been discussed at Trigoria, and, if this move were to take place in January, the Giallorossi would save nearly โฌ4 million net in wages.
It seems that Dybala, too, is considering a future away from the Italian capital after a mixed four seasons. The initial rumours of renewed contact with Boca Juniors, of course, started back in Argentina.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, more than one Buenos Aires media outlet has revealed that La Joyaโs brothers, Gustavo and Mariano, have made initial contact with the Blue and Gold.
It also appears that Roma have not made any further contact with the strikerโs entourage, who are reportedly willing to reduce his salary.
Leandro Paredesโ father helped pile on the excitement, stating a few days ago: โI know things. I know Paulo wants to come. He has a heart for Boca. I overheard a conversation between them, and Dybala said he would come. Everything comes in its own time.โ
