Rasmus Højlund this season at Manchester United has looked like a shadow of the complete, promising striker who the Red Devils had signed from Atalanta in 2023. As the end approaches to has been a dreadful season both for the team and the player personally, it looks like Højlund could be heading back to Italy this summer. It is worth noting that it was in Serie A that he had first gained prominence.
The Dane has scored just 4 times in the Premier League this season as Ruben Amorim’s side sit 16th in the division. Fans have been losing patience with Højlund due to his continuous lack of improvement. Joshua Zirkzee, United’s other striker option has outperformed him and they are heavily linked to Liam Delap as well.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Inter, Juventus and Napoli have all inquired about the striker’s situation. While Juve and Napoli’s interest is to be expected, given that they are clearly in the market for a number #9, Inter’s approach comes as a surprise considering they already have Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Mehdi Taremi and Marco Arnautovic.
