Davide Frattesi’s future at Inter Milan is once again in doubt, as former club Roma has stormed back into the race for the midfielder and is now reportedly in “pole position,” having leapfrogged rivals Juventus and Napoli, according to L’Interista.
The Giallorossi are said to be determined to close the door on other suitors, and their eagerness is underlined by a willingness to meet Inter’s high valuation. While the Nerazzurri management, namely Marotta and Ausilio, will not entertain any offer below €30-35 million, Roma is seemingly prepared to go all the way, possibly proposing a deal that includes an initial loan followed by an obligation to buy in June.
Frattesi, who has struggled for consistent playing time, is reportedly tired of waiting and is eager to finally secure a move where he can feature regularly, making a January transfer market a hot and uncertain period for Inter’s directors.
Newcastle United had tried to sign the Italian in the summer but the move came quite late.
