Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini lashes out at Jadon Sancho refusal: โ€œWe donโ€™t have to begโ€

Serie A giants Roma have tried desperatel yto sign Manchester Unitedโ€™s Jadon Sancho and manager Gian Piero Gasperini has spoken about the saga.

The Italian is said to have personally tried to convince the attacker about an initial loan move to the Giallorossi. But the player has been dallying for weeks and considering other options before making a final decision despite Romaโ€™s best attempts.

In the Giallorossiโ€™s press conference today, Gasperini was asked about Sancho and he made it clear that Roma will not beg for anyone to join and he can stay where he is, if he doesnโ€™t want to join.

The Italian said, via TMW: โ€œCall him if you have his number. You know everything, I donโ€™t know what the margins are now. We donโ€™t have to beg anyone, ever: itโ€™s the same for everyone. Sancho is a possibility, but weโ€™re a possibility for him. If they donโ€™t think so, heโ€™ll stay where he is.โ€

There have been suggestions that Sanchoโ€™s agent has been causing troubles in the scenario and has been asking for a major commission to move and considering an approach from Besiktas.

Roma did have an agreement with Manchester United, but an agreement with Sancho has been missing for many days.
