Napoliโs attempts to secure Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo are facing significant resistance, primarily from manager Ruben Amorim, who is reportedly raising an objection against the youngsterโs departure despite giving him limited minutes.
Reports from Il Mattino, relayed by CN24, indicate that Mainoo is a top priority for the Partenopeiโs January transfer window. Napoliโs Sporting Director Giovanni Manna has been in frequent contact with the 20-year-oldโs staff, and the player himself is said to be totally open to the move.
Mainoo is reportedly keen to guarantee himself a protagonist role in the second half of the season to cement his place in the England squad for the upcoming World Cup, having seen his playing time severely restricted at Old Trafford.
