Torino boss Marco Baroni involved in spat with journalists after Lazio draw

Torino boss Marco Baroni was involved in a tense exchange with reporters during his post-match press conference in Rome, as Il Toro held Lazio to a 3-3 draw in what was a dramatic tie in Serie A.

According to ToroNews, the discussion turned heated when journalists began arguing among themselves before Baroni, visibly irritated, intervened.

The coach tried to restore calm but could not hide his frustration, saying: โ€œPlease, letโ€™s keep this civil. I came here to talk about the match, not this.โ€ When one journalist pressed further about Torinoโ€™s form, Baroni replied sharply: โ€œWe can discuss football, but not like this. Everyone needs to show respect.โ€

After the exchange, he shifted attention back to his sideโ€™s performance: โ€œThe lads gave everything. Thereโ€™s no lack of commitment, and thatโ€™s what matters to me.โ€

The scene captured the growing strain around Torinoโ€™s recent results, with emotions spilling over in what should have been a routine post-match appearance.

There have been doubts regarding Baroniโ€™s future in Turin but the result over Lazio gives them some promise that he can turn things around soon enough. Whether Baroni keeps his jobs remains to be seen.
